Description

My first mid-tier air cooled build. The Aorus x570 Xtreme is such a beauty with passive cooling and solid build quality. Noctua DH-15S is also very high quality, and quite an eye candy when couple with it's chromax heatsink cover. I just love how everything fits perfectly in such a tiny case. <3

Update: Switched out the Aorus Xtreme to Lightning Z

Spec wise you could say this is the dream build of today - for gaming or productivity. Cannot beat it.

Looks wise you did a great job. While I am definitely in the "liquid cooling camp" I do occasionally see an air cooled build that makes me reconsider my preferences. Your build is that build. Good job here, +1 from me.

Thanks!

At first, I was nearly about to jump to the "liquid cooling camp myself. But after some consideration, I just don't think that I would be able to deal with maintenance and surprise leaks that would likely happen as I have never done liquid cooling. Though, aesthetic of liquid cooling is undeniably very tempting.

Your intake and exhaust fans are backwards.

You're right, thank you! I was wondering why the temp was pretty high. After turning the fan around temps are now so much better.

Not sure i'd call this mid-tier... mid tower certainly... but considering you've got arguablythe top-end consumer GPU/CPU that money can buy right now in a fairly premium case with a decent NVMe SSD and fast RAM I'd say this is very much high-end.

I agree the Chromax covers look great with the NZXT H500 in white.

What was the reason you went for the lighting Z than the Aorus ? was there any issues with it?

I am not sure if it is just me but it's quite hot, so I sold it. I feel that the Lightning Z just have better quality plastic and I really like the carbon backplate xD.

OMG! This build looks so good, I was planning to do a build with the same cooler and ram but didn't know how they would look together and if the cooler would cover the ram too much. It clearly does not and it looks... JUST MHMHMHM YES. I am so happy I found a build with the parts I am planning out, thank you so much for posting. How are your temps? The only reason I was considering air cooling was because I am planning on using a 9900K and heard the Noctua D15S has like the best cooling power even comparing it to some custom water cooled loops. So thank you so much again! THANKS!

Thank you. CPU 3.8G Auto with PBO to 4.55G Cpu voltage on auto between 1.47w - 1.5w Temps are around 44c > 48c Idle. 66c > 70c Full load.

Hey, man. Sick build. Just wanted to know how the Trident Royal is working with this mobo since they're not listed in the QVL. Have you seen any compatibility issues with overclocking or the RGB?
