First build coming from PS3..
What you're looking at is almost 2 years of me changing my mind. This part list that goes with this build is missing alot if you count all the stuff I changed out from when I first built this. It started out as a budget build for under $1000, then it turned into me buying what I wanted instead of what I needed.
The picture of the Black case was my computer first life as a NZXT Gamma Mid-tower with a i7-3770k, PNY Gtx 650, 500watt budget.. Then I realized I needed better hardwar for Ultra Graphics..
I've went through 2 other cases, a power supply, a graphics card, a processor, a motherboard, a CPU cooler, 2 headsets, and a keyboard.
The first problem is that I could never make up my mind when it came to just exactly what I wanted it to look like. Now with this NZXT tower I've finally stopped looking at cases. Then I bought hardware that needed to be upgraded if I wanted to game at the graphics I wanted to see, I didn't do enough research and it cost me. Then I started hating my keyboard for some reason and picked up my Corsair special edition and fell in love.
I'm not a huge numbers buff when it come to my PC performance, I like to experiment with performance in game with different settings. That's how I judge my computer, I know its not the best way but its what I enjoy doing. Skyrim with mods and textures is my big one that I fiddle with more then I actually play the game.
I am going to run the benchmarks for this posts sake. This was my first build from console and I had ZERO idea on what I was doing or even the first thing on good parts from bad. After reading forums, looking through hundreds of benchmarks, and watching a thousand "How to" videos, I can say that I'm comfortable around a computer and its parts now and I can actually figure out whats wrong with it if something happens.
I hope you guys on here enjoy this build and leave some feedback on how I did. Thanks!
NOTE* I dont have the Black Edition Rampage motherboard. I have the normal Rampage IV Extreme, couldn't find it on parts list. Also have done ZERO overclocking.
I also have a planned upgrade list for RAM, 2x GTX 980, Monitor, PSU, Storage, Mouse, and hopefully Liquid cooling will come last.
Going to upload new pictures when I get a hold of new parts.
