Description

This started out as my build in 2016. It had 16gb of 3400mhz ram which I transferred to my current build. I painted the core V1. I added side magnetic case filters from DEMCiFilter. The Corsair H80i V2 comes in a push/pull configuration, I used the supplied 120mm to pull while the core v1 200mm fan pushes. The i7-6700k was delidded and since the H80i has a copper cold plate liquid metal TIM was used on both sides of the lid. Temps are very low on this CPU. I installed 2 80mm blue led fans on the rear of the case. The power supply is a PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750W Crossfire Edition from 2006 still going strong 12 years later, I removed any cabling I wasn't utilizing, painted the PSU black along with any cables and plugs.

2 issues I have with the EVGA stinger mobo is the lack of a USB 2.0 header and lack of integrated WiFi. thats why you see a usb cable connected to the corsair cooler since it uses the larger USB mini port the only cable I had was that ugly beige color you see. I also had to add my own wireless N/bluetooth m.2 card. Luckily the EVGA rear I/O plate had a spot for the WiFi antennas.

That paint is beautiful! Could you tell me what you used to get that color?

Krylon Shimmer Metallic Candy Razz and Krylon acrylic clear. Prep is 90% of the work. Take your time cleaning and prepping the surface and the job will come out showing that.
