Description

I built this computer for 3 reasons: 1. Learning experience 2. Run some data heavy processing algorithms (machine learning / deep learning) 3. I wanted to be able to play games at 1440p@144FPS (I play mainly FPS and RTS games)

I accomplished with no problems my 3 objectives!

==

CPU: I got this from a friend for $200, no brainer, great CPU at a fantastic price.

CPU cooler: It keeps the CPU temp around 45C. Very cool looking.

MOBO: Good motherboard, easy BIOS, I probably would like to be able to change the RED light color. I don't OC so I don't know about that.

MEMORY: Great compatibility, running with no problems @3200 with MSI. ** I had to update the BIOS.

STORAGE: FAST FAST FAST.... For now, I'm ok. I might get a second SDD soon.

Video Card: I think for $550 it's an amazing video card able to max @1440p any game with high FPS. **I didn't get the TI since I don't think that $200 extra is a good investment if I play in 1440p.

CASE: Great case, so clean and minimalist.

PS: Good PS

Monitor: S217DG is an AWESOME monitor for the price. ** Some tuning is required. I will buy it again without thinking. No dead pixels, no bleeding, no issues.

Keyboard & Mouse: Great colors and looks.

Headphones: I have the HyperX Revolver 7.1, great sound with some noise cancelling + mic

Extra stuff: NZXT Internal USB Hub + Phanteks RGB Led Strip Combo

Thanks man, you can get it for a decent price in IKEA, it's a kitchen counter top, they have plenty of different finishes. You also need to get the drawers. Google something along the lines of IKEA kitchen counter top desk to get you some ideas.

Love the look of the purple and the Kraken AIO, maybe get the cooler to match the purple theme? Maybe get these: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CDZ2FT/nzxt-aer-rgb120-614-cfm-120mm-fans-rf-ar120-t1

Not sure if that's the right size, but whether or not you add em later it doesn't matter, looks great either way! Also, you got the 1800X for $200?!?! That's hella good, nice job.

Thanks man, I'll definitely consider adding the fans in the near future + I think they also require the Hue+ controller right ? not sure.

I honestly don't know much about those fans just saw them on other builds and they look clean. It would make sense that it would need the controller.

Yeah that desk is beautiful! Do you know the dimensions for it? Also, do you think the monitor is too small compared to a 27"?
