I mostly use this computer for gaming and video editing besides the usual internet browsing and all and by God has it been a (mostly) pleasant experience.
This is my first build, so the problems I've encountered weren't too big of a surprise, though that's mostly with the software. For the first day of using it the monitor would go completely black for as long as the blink of an eye but only when the system was under load - Largely through my playthrough of red dead and Remnant.
Other than that, with the things I've tweaked in the biOS and all the drivers up to date (I hope), I've managed to keep stable temps and the issues are slowly ironing themselves out over time. Haven't noticed the blinking problem in quite a while so I assume it's gone, though nothing can be perfect so I really can't complain about this system. It feels really great going from a laptop to this beast. AMD is really killing it right now in my opinion.
Amazing stock cooler, amazing cpu. With a custom fan curve and undervolting it a little it always hits above 4ghz at all times when it matters.
Maybe I couldve opted for a better option with the motherboard. The integrated realtek hd audio sound card gave me alot of problems with my hyperx cloud stinger, but the included wifi was around 2.5x better than the speeds I got on my laptop. Convenient for redownloading all those games!
The installation experience was a bit frustrating with the extended heatsinks and such, but maybe I should've just got a longer screwdriver and cables that weren't so bloody stiff.
Such beautiful sticks of RAM, had to overclock(?) it myself in the biOS for it to run as rated, but I guess that's just to be expected. No complaints so far.
Booting feels nice and snappy! Good storage for a few important games too. Though I know there is better out there, this is good value if you can get it on sale like I did.
Cheaper than an EVO, probably just as good, I dont read too much into details. Its fast, it works. Good enough.
What a beast. Runs cool, can barely hear the fans even when they're spinning at 65% and is so, so beautiful. Best 5700 XT besides its liquid counterpart right now. Demolishes red dead 2 maxed out as well (1080p). Gaming feels so smooth on this.
Case was way bigger than expected, but not too much of a problem. Really sleek design and amazing airflow. The fine mesh is something other cases should take note of. Cable management was fairly easy in this too for a first time builder.
Super stiff cables! So stiff that it was hard to keep the separated connectors together to plug it in, plus the wires don't feel very premium for the price I had to pay either. Oh well, just as long as it continues to work. I've never heard the fan spin up either, plus the eco mode is a nice touch, even though I've never had to use it.
Had a blinking issue for the first day or two when I was gaming even with all the drivers installed, but it didnt make anything unplayable. Really nice monitor either way, got it on sale so I feel like I bagged a huge bargain for what I got regardless.
