I've never tried this level of custom build before. As in making it all work AND look good at the same time. Used to be we'd just plug in the various AGP/PCIe/etc. cards, connect the MOLEX spaghetti to everything, shove it in a completely closed case with 2 pathetic, choked-off fans, and turn it on. That was nearly 15 years ago.

I went pre-built with my last system out of necessity, but had always wanted to get back into something I built. I've had my Dell XPS 8300 for a while now, and finally decided that it was time for an upgrade.

I may have gotten carried away.

Still needs some work on the lighting and the OC, but for the most part, she's done.

Very nice build, quite similar to my own (same case).

One thing I would recommend is switching out the stock case fans for something better, they're not fantastic (no pun intended). I switched them out for the nzxt aer RGB fans (120 and 140mm), they're much quieter and move more air, but any good fan will be an improvement.

Enjoy your new rig :)
