Description

I built this months ago and forgot to post it. It was a fairly easy build minus a few problem. The only problems I had is the motherboard's USB 3.0 pins were in an inconvenient spot and me trying to connect the wire caused there to be a broken pin which means I lost the front 3.0 headers. And the case door needs to be shoved into the side of the case bc it will hang loose otherwise making it harder to screw in. Also, this build had an 8370 but the pins broke, but that mostly my fault but also the board's faulty cpu locking mechanism.

Part Reviews

CPU

Loving it. Though it does not compare to Ryzen, it did making rendering and producing videos go by much faster and I mean MUCH! This is of course because of me overclocking it but still got the job done, even when gaming.

CPU Cooler

Great budget cooler, keeps my CPU Temp below 50 at idle and below 60 when in load. Not to mention it was extremely simple to set up compare to the 212 Evo which I used in my Hyper Beast 1.0

Motherboard

Decent, not as good as the FX-Killer series especially in terms of gaming. The usb 3.0 connector is in the worst place EVER. Other people mention other issues with this board so nothing much I can say other than that I love the color scheme of the board, matches the RAM perfectly along with the overall build.

Memory

RAM is RAM. What can I say? It works perfectly for this system. Bought a second pair by accident, but the more the merrier.

Storage

Great especially when ur on a budget. I still have not used up all the space hehe.

Video Card

Awesome. Perfect. Gorgeous. OMG So FAST! That's all I can say other than that it is perfect for gaming. When crossfired it beats the 1070 by a little. After they were OC'd, man they were fast. Also, the twin frozr fans make the GPU cool and quiet. I just wish it had the same RGB features as the Gaming Z, but whatever not worth losing a star over.

Case

Stylish and good looking. My only reason for removing a star is the compact spacing (which made it hard to manage cables) and the lack of rubber grommets. Other than that, it is amazing. I especially love the fan speed controller in the front io.

Power Supply

Gets the job done and silently might I add. This is probably one of the best semi-modular PSU's on the market.

Case Fan

Loud and irritating, but they get the job done. Managed to make them almost quiet when I lowered the speed down to level 2. The intake on is not so bad, but the exhaust is soo noisy.

Case Fan

Silent as can be. Creates awesome, bright lighting and keeps my PC nice and cool.

Case Fan

Loud, like why? It does it's job and cools my radiator nicely but at what cost. It is the loudest fan in my case even at its lowest level. Either way, I lovely the lighting it gives off and how it performs.

when i put this motherboard and cpu together it says its incompatible. did you have any problems when putting them together?

i think you need to have a bios update..... my friend had the same problem on a different mobo.

Though it says it is incompatible on PCpartpicker. AsRock's Website states that the motherboard can support up to a 9590 (though you can not overclock if u do use this CPU). It is even stated on the packaging of the motherboard. ( Very sorry for the delayed response).

Thanks. I hope to fix that with my next build. (sorry for late reply been super busy)

True. But having the two is definitely better than one. Skyrim special edition with on 480 get 30 and below on Ultra. But with two, it will rarely even go to 60 fps. Max I got was a little over 100.
