Description

So I decided I wanted something more powerful than my 3570k and 660s, so I came up with this monstrosity.

The PC can get a bit loud while gaming (~50db) mainly because the ACX coolers are LOUD (maybe i just have a low tolerance for noise, as almost every review describes them as "whisper quiet") above 50% and my cards tend to sit at 55%-57% rpm under max load.

I also plan to change out the stock radiator fans with some Noctuas to further reduce the noise.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the system and my near 19000 firestrike score (sitting at 18322 before CPU overclock and haven't run it again yet). Certainly a hell of a step up from my old rig's ~7800.

Anyone else think EVGA could have done a better job with the designing of their coolers to look better?

I know right. I took them out of the box and was like "dafuq?" Definitely the cheapest looking part of the whole psu kit. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out how they even work.

That off-angle cooler is triggering my OC....no I don't have OCD. But it still kinda bugs me.

It doesn't matter anyway, fantastic build. I'm looking forward to getting that particular CPU sooner or later; what is your review on it?

Its kinda tricky to put on the retention plate of the X60. I thought it was straight, but it was 1 notch counter clockwise but still looks sorta cool imo.

Idk, if I put it on straight the tubing would have hit the GPU (there's like 7mm clearance).

As for my review, it keeps my CPU frosty even when overclocked. The only downside is the fans. Definitely swap them out for Corsairs or Noctuas to make it considerably quieter as well as deliver enough pressure to make the radiator a viable intake source, not that its outrageously loud in the first place unlike the 970s.

I like the rig a lot. Enjoy!

May I ask how is your air flow? Did you change the fans included?

Sorry for the late reply. The airflow from the case fans is pretty good. Swapped the rad fans for 140mm noctuas, the rear exhaust for a corsair LED, and a NZXT 140mm airflow fan for the top (intake).

Great build. This comment does not refer to you. Now that Nvidia has released the 980Ti, it preforms the same or almost as good as a Titan X. This is a cheaper and way better solution then dual 970s.

Pretty low budget...... I didn't even know that something could be that inexpensive. Is this for gaming or checking email? It might have trouble running......Minecraft. Maybe at 720p you would get 10 fps.

Lemme guess, your build is a troll too :P
