Description

Not the build I needed. The build I deserved. After a lifetime of gaming this is the first system I put together myself (with a little advice along the way). This is obviously a gaming machine. I was most nervous about the motherboard fitting into the case, but it did after I removed the H700’s cable management bar. Might even be able to squeeze it back in, but by the time this build was completed I didn’t feel like messing with it. CPU sits around 26C on idle and can reach 41C on the most graphics intensive games, but always gets back down. The is my first experience watercooling and I must say it was easy to install, easy to configure, and I feel a lot better about it now that I’ve done it. On first startup the fans were oscillating, so I ran the fan speed optimization through the bios and it set up profiles for the radiator and case fans. The Noctuas are worth it. I got the A14 3k rpm and for someone that is used to stock NZXT case fans these are almost inaudible and they push a lot of air. All in all I’m very satisfied.

i know the hype is around your build and it is a beast but hows the chair lol, i only ask cause i see there ads everywhere and idk if its worth 600 dollars

I have the softweave cloth version and it’s not as soft as some chairs out there. I like it for the posture and it’s extremely comfortable to lean back in (my load times are much shorter now so I don’t get to enjoy a lot of this now). The seat itself is quite firm, but I don’t know if that is different than the leather model, so if that’s not what you’re looking for look into the leather and maybe some other brands depending on what you find out.

How loud are those industrial fans? I keep wanting to get them but I don't want my PC to sound like a freakin' rocket.

Grab yourself a monitor arm and reclaim some of that desk space.

On startup they sound they same as stock nzxt fans. With the optimized profile I don’t even notice them on idle. I’ve actually looked a couple times to make sure my fans were running. Everyone hears differently though.

Tried an arm coming off a stand and it couldn’t handle the weight. I’ll try a nicer one some day.

Love your build! I know the EVGA FTW3 is already a beast but if youre up for even more, I recently used the kraken g12 with a kraken x62 on my 2080ti XC Ultra PCB to get even more overclocked speeds. Pretty simple to do although with the FTW3 you sure don't need any more power hahaha congrats!

I wouldn't say it was a deal, but I see this as the kind of computer POTUS would own, especially if it were gold

A missed opportunity in color strategy for sure. Some of these parts I got cheaper than are listed here, but I also bought some extra stuff that ended up making the cost about the same.

Great build my man, the computer and monitors are great but I'd strongly reccomend getting a 3 monitor arm, put that Beutiful Machine on the desk, it'd improve the build a lot and definitely get custom water cooling I used the configuration tool to make something to fit your pc https://www.ekwb.com/custom-loop-configurator/shared/oW5c5aca3b3b63b

Also you should definitely try out nVidia surround, it will combine your 3 1440p monitors into one 7680x1440 and run a game ag that resolution, trust me it's a good idea

Hello! Great build btw! I have a question about my future build on the Asus z390 Maximus XI extreme mother board. I have NZXT H700i, will it fit properly?

It fits my H700 after removing the bar inside. Don't see why it wouldnt fit the H700i too.

Love the build. Do you run the Noctua on the cpu cooler over 2k rpm? Just curious about noise. I usually never have fans break 1400rpm. I like quiet but if I could get only 41C on a cpu ....hmm.

The guy went all out, got the best cpu for that platform and one of the highest end boards to go along with some quality corsair ram, why are they bad again?

  • 2 points

I didn’t see what he said, but I’m down to 1v1.

  • 2 points

How can you even say that. He chose to go for the best of the best and that is clear. I'd consider 4 TB of m.2 storage (for little benefit) ridiculous, but that's not the point. This is an all out best pc possible.

  • 1 point

The amount of storage I would say for my use is the right amount. Both of them being M.2 is indeed a little ridiculous.

  • 2 points

Exactly, there comes to a point where it is just because why not. This is like a Model X of PCs.

  • 2 points

He clearly didn't have a monetary constraint, his goal was to make a badass pc that could kick butt and chew bubblegum with rtx on, and he did, but he's all out of gum now.

  • 1 point

To be fair I did begin the process with a monetary constraint. That didn’t last long though.
