Description

This is the 4th PC I've ever had. Started with a Dell back in 1999. First build was in 2003 that a friend put together. Next build was 2008 that a cousin in law built. Finally I built my own after doing much research through google/reddit/youtube and finding deals through buildapcsales reddit/ebay/slickdeals.

This build started off in a NZXT H700i, but I opted to return it after finding out they were releasing an updated version. I decided on the Lian-Li PC-011 Dynamic after seeing enough beautiful builds. I did see they were releasing the XL this month but decided I didn't need it. The rest of the parts had to be Corsair, white, and RGB. 2700x seems like a great value CPU as well as the ASUS Strix 1660ti. In hindsight after spending so much, I should of got a better card.

For cooling, I went with the H100i Platinum SE, LL120 3-pack, and 4 more LL120 and a Commander Pro off eBay. Had to track down and overpay for the second RGB hub. Bottom and Side fans set for intake with the Top fans exhausting.

I still need to paint the GPU shroud as well as pickup some cable extentions. Possibly even picking up the Corsair Ram Lighting Kit.

A 1660 ti is not a very good card for this kind of build. I recommend a rtx 2070 or 2080.

Are you using it for just gaming or productivity?

Gaming and productivity. I still play TFC that came out in 99, so I don't need to have the best settings.

What is the name of the vertical mount? Did you mod the case for that?

Cooler Master Vertical GPU Mount. No mods needed for this case.

Dude this build is freaking sexy. This is how i was going to build one, if i did a Full Tower case. But i ended up doing a MINI ITX. Kudos for this build. so clean.

how did you connect all those fans? do they all sync together?

  • 8 months ago
  • 1 point

6 fans -> rgb hub

3 fans -> rgb hub

2 rgb hubs -> commander pro

This setup helps iCue control the lighting better. The cpu cooler can control lighting for 2 fans though.

what about the power cable? Did you use the motherboard coz commander pro has 6 ports only.

SATA for power and USB header for software control

Good afternoon!

Sick build I must say! I'm planning to build a PC in the same case. With ofcourse, 9 LL120 fans in it.

As I can see your fans are synced neatly, could you explain me what you connected to what and what things I need?

Thanks in advance!

ARRRRRGGH! I was going to buy that case, but went with another one instead. Seeing your build makes me think I made a bad choice.

I bought this card for my first build. Haven't used it yet since im still buying parts. Would you say it performs well atleast? I see people telling others they should of went with an rtx 2070 or 2080. Making me somewhat doubt my purchase.

It has performed just fine for me, granted I don't need to play the newest games at the best settings and resolutions. I still mainly play TFC, Hearthstone, Borderlands, and haven't gotten into the newer games yet.

1660ti is one of the best performing GPUs for its cost. Just check out the link above. Unless you care only about 4k gaming, I think its fine.

That makes perfect sense . And thank you for providing me with that link . Currently i’m pairing the 1660 ti with a Intel 9600k , curious to see how it will do . I really only play overwatch . I’m hoping to get into other games . Overall awesome looking build!

Neat build! Stupid question, I see on the MSI website for the MPG X570 GAMING EDGE mobo that it only supports USB type A connectors at the front or so it says? The Lian Li also has a type-c; how did you get around this?

I have the EDGE WIFI. I don’t have it connected or use it. There might be an adapter maybe? I’ll need to do more research.

Wow, that lighting effect looks good! What profile did you use on icue?

I custom made it and centered it around the fans using predefined "ARC" with Teal and Pink as the primary colors.
