Hi all,

This is finally my finished build, Spirit! Its taken me over a year and a half to get everything and perfect it the best I could! So happy with how its turned out.

So this is our under stairs "Box Room" if you can call it that, think its a little small haha, at least its bigger than what Harry Potter had :)

This PC was built for Gaming and Streaming with maybe some Graphics and/or Music Production later down the line as I have an interest in both.

There is a fair amount I'd do differently if I had all the money I've spent all in one go instead of over time like I have, for starters I had have gone with a AMD Threadripper 1950X instead of the i7 7700k, I'd have had to leave a lot of the extras out but can't say I would have minded :)

The second thing would have been a custom loop, I just didn't feel confident with it and would prefer not to have to maintain one, now I've come so far though I don't think I would have minded.

Third and lastly, I would have gone with an ASUS broad instead of Gigabyte, really not keen on the bios and all the software Gigabyte throw at you :(

Otherwise everything is perfect! Hope you guys like my build! Please check out the other build I did for my wife, Spectrum! Its the other PC in some of these pics :) https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/nCw6Mp

I'd like to add a NZXT Hue+ at some point, after using one for my wife's build I just fell in love with it! Also going to get a Aerocool TGC22 Thunder X3 Black/White as my chair has kind of warn out really bad :S

I used the boxes from the parts to cover up the cables at the back of my desk. I also used cable ties to fix the sound bar in place under the desk.

The Hauppauge HD PVR 2 my friend luckily for me has lent it to me as he no longer uses it.

Sorry they aren't the best pictures, my S7 is struggling a bit these days haha, here's a link to a panoramic I took. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7FdOuGwR4b4eml4TEJPNlYxbjA/view?usp=sharing

The most notable offers I was lucky enough to get for my set up.

KFA2 GTX 1080 TI I got a free copy of Destiny 2

Samsung Evo 960 M.2 250 GB I got a free Year 2 Season Pass for Rainbow Six

SteelSeries M750 CCL had a pricing error and had it up for £122, they honored this price. instead of the RRP of £149.99

The Switch I got for £255 on offer from Very

The Samsung Sound Bar had £60 off when bought with a TV

I made a number of other savings from sales and buying bits off eBay.

As I said above, I've just started out as a Streamer, please check out my Twitch and give me a follow! I really would appreciate it! https://www.twitch.tv/designation_coupec

Part Reviews

Update: I had 2 of these die on me, I believe it was down to the motherboard but I've given it a 3 star as I never had any problems with Z270.

A very good CPU, only thing I don't like about it is Intel LOL, Ryzen wasn't on sale at the time sadly :(

CPU Cooler

Not a bad AIO but if I had to pick again I would go with the Fractal Design Celsius S36.

Update 2: So this MB killed another CPU, finally been offered a refund for it after 3 months. Won't be buying from Alza again or getting anything made by Gigabyte.

Update: This Motherboard has now died on me and fried my CPU. Avoid if you can. I won't be getting anything from Gigabyte again.

Really don't like Gigabytes BIOS or the software that comes with the board as it is very buggy at times, the Sabertooth Z170 I had from ASUS seemed all round a better board. Will be going ASUS again with my next one.

Nothing much to say other then its amazing! Only thing I'd complain about is how much extra you pay for white over black :(

Bought off eBay, seems to work very well no problems. Very nice speed, all in all very happy. Used for my Steam Games.

Bought off eBay, seems to work very well no problems. Very nice speed, all in all very happy. Used for my Steam Games.

The best drive I've had the pleasure of owning! Insanely fast and just completely amazing for a boot drive.

Used as a boot drive for 6 months, now used for my favorite Steam games. A very very fast and good drive.

Not a very good drive at all, very very slow, not used for much anymore, was pulled from my wife's old Laptop.

Good speeds for a HDD, perfect for mass storage.

Video Card

Love the look of this card! Seems to be fairly rare to get hold of now though! Was an amazing upgrade from a GTX 1080 and I love unique cards you don't see much :)

I love this case so much! It was a pleasure to build in and looks amazing, very unique.

Power Supply

Never had a problem. Would highly recommend!

Operating System

OEM key off eBay, Best Windows to date!

Case Fan

Very good fans although can be a little loud at times.

Very nice screen. I use it as my second for streaming, really like the style of it. the whites come through as more yellow which is the only down side to it but its perfect for what I use it for.

I love this screen so much! Upgrading from a 1080p was such an amazing experience! its almost the difference between night and day! its a shame it doesn't come with G Sync but with how good a screen it is I can't see the real need for it! just beautiful! Playing games on this screen is amazing! Highly recommend.

So far a nice board, changed form a M800, really like the keys and RGB looks beautiful! Only downside so fair is one of the RGB is broken so need to get a replacement :( otherwise I would recommend. The Steelseries Software is the best I've come across so far, very simple and easy to use.

My favorite mouse so far! Feels so good in the hand and feels so accurate on screen, I'm loving the sensor so far! The Steelseries Software is the best I've come across so far, very simple and easy to use. Highly recommend.

+1 nice cave.

Have you found having the AIO radiator fans as an intake has an impact on the Gpu temperature?

Is the Samsung ultrawide good? I'm in the market for one but wary to get one without g-sync, even if it does add a stupid amount to the cost.

Very jealous you got the free destiny 2, I missed the promotion by a couple of days.

I'm honestly not sure about the AIO AS I haven't tested it the other way and really the temps are fine.

The monitor I'd highly recommend! I really don't see a need for g sync with this screen, no tearing or any screen artefacts or anomalies. It's perfect!

Awww bud that's crappy :( Most places would still give you a copy if they had some left? I actually bought my GPU a week before the promotion started but Overclockers UK are amazing and gave me a code anyway :D

Geez, dude. Great looking build. I'm thinking of getting that case, you recommend it for a first time builder?
