3rd ever build, 2nd one on PCPP- never gets tiring :D

This time it is a budget build- Client gave me a budget of 600 GBP (Pounds), which I feel like I did very well with. I went to a computer fair and managed to get all the components at very competitive prices. There were cheaper options available, but I decided to go for the well known, distinguished brands for safety and quality. He only wants to do gaming without any overclocking so I went for what I thought was best for my budget, whilst offering moderate expandability for the future.

Hope you enjoy the pictures :).

Part Reviews

Wanted to get a CPU which had 4 cores- the i5-6400 has a worthy advantage over the i3-6100 which is the one I was considering to get.

Standard 1151 motherboard, one of the cheaper ones on the market. No plans for overclocking.

Decided to go for an SSD instead of an HDD for lightning fast boot times etc.

Video Card

Card is actually the Palit 3GB one- PCPartPicker just do not have it listed. Nice card, paired with the i5-6400 should see ultra settings in 1080p.

Power Supply

Semi modularity was a bonus. Nice touch by be quiet! for not having the horrible ketchup and mustard coloured cables- all of them are black!

This case was a bit of a dark horse. It was on sale for 40 pounds with 2 fans in the front and 1 in the back included, along with LED lighting incorporated into the chassis itself! Dust filters on top and for the PSU are very nice touches. There is fan control on top alongside the power button which only needs 1 molex connector to power all 3 of the fans. the LED's are RGB, with 7 different colour modes. Could not be happier, really brings this build to life. The included PSU shroud is a nice touch- helps improve the aesthetic of the case.

It was probably the closest one that was listed here, that is not a company I am familiar with.

Yeah, PCPP doesn't list the Palit 3GB cards, so I chose the GPU closest to it :) I wrote about it in the review.

Can we have benchmarks for Overwatch, Doom, and BattleField 1 please? If you have them? Best wishes,

Magic Man.

Very sorry, don't have the PC on me anymore, but you can expect +60fps on BF1 and Doom and probably over 80-90 on Overwatch. The 1060 is a good GPU!

Great build, especially like the case shape and case lights.

Not this one no, it's just white LEDs with a red design. The ASUS Strix cards have RGB I think.
