Price History (Excluding Tax & Combo Deals) History:

from completed build $550 budget gaming build

This is the best budget harddrive you can buy, there is no other choice in my opinion.

from completed build The Global Offensive

Amazing for the price, highly recommend for all non-SSD budget builds.

from completed build Storm Stryker Gaming Build

I grabbed this in a pinch after my 4TB SeaGate Hybrid drive was DOA. Surprisingly fast considering its just an HDD. Looks to be a good pairing with my SSD.

from completed build Melange

Long load times, but it is an HDD. Seems great at what it does, not much to say.

from completed build The Noob FX

it's a hdd at 7200rpm, it works. Again..seeing US prices at $50 and really really really not finding this for less than the price i paid is quite depressing..EU prices..

from completed build Illogical Increment

I promised myself I'd go all-SSD once the price of 500GB was less than 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD. It came pretty close during the acquisition phase of the build, but I'm moving the goalposts and holding out for when 1TB SSDs are less than $200.

Standard 7200rpm platter drive. Great for storage and games.

from completed build Senbonzakura

Basic HDD, enough storage for what I need.

To stay on budget, I didn't go for an SSD this time. Read good things about WD Caviar Blue and it was fairly cheap. This is fast enough.

from completed build Bruiser on a Budget

This is the only brand I trust.
