You can now easily browse through the listings either in the detailed list view or in the thumbnail view, with filters for functionality such as headphone type, number of channels, noise cancellation, wireless support, and built-in microphone availability.

As with other part types, you can set both standard and parametric price alerts, check for the lowest prices, view price history, and add them to your part lists and completed builds.

Awww'ch'yeahhh - now for watercooling! :]

tamarockstar 8 points 43 months ago

Can you watercool my keyboard?

jasonta10 -5 points 43 months ago

There's already liquid cooling?

Marcus_CA 5 points 43 months ago

Only for CPU coolers! and they're pre-made!

Mattkx4 1 point 43 months ago

What the heck no what about the Corsair H60

Highwlaker 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

They're talking about custom loop parts. Xspc and the likes.

Mattkx4 1 point 43 months ago

That makes a lot more sense

hermypie 4 points 43 months ago

nice addition go check out /r/headphones for some great cans and Brands you could add (like beyerdynamic)

edit* also a good addition would be to say if theyre open or closed headphones :)

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

We do specify the open/closed - or at least it shows up on the part specification page and can be filtered by that attribute in the category page. For the additional brands to add, I know manirelli is still in the process of adding additional sets. I'll make sure he is on top it - thanks!

tamarockstar 2 points 43 months ago

Can you add Grado Labs?

Highwlaker 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

You guys should add the new Corsair vengeance headsets they just announced!

And an idea I had for a feature, you could make it so that you can click on the custom parts you entered, and it'll show builds with similarly named custom parts. I don't know, just a thought. :-)

Good call on the beyers! I have the dt 770's and they feel and sound great. The only complaint that I have is that occasionally hairs get stuck in the drivers and you have to rip em apart to get the hair out.

ferrari93 4 points 43 months ago

awesome, im lookin to grab the lcd 2's sometime this winter so this will help out tremendously. Also it would be nice to add some amps and dacs but mayb in the future

Camph 4 points 43 months ago

Just a reminder that gaming headsets or headsets in general will always sound much worse than proper headphones. If you do proper research, you'll see that you want to avoid Logitech, Razer, Astro, Turtle Beach, Steelseries and (of course) Beats, Monster and Bose.

vans 1 point 43 months ago

Hi, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind naming some brands you do recommend? I am looking to buy some headphones right now but not sure what might be a good choice. I would be using it for gaming as well as for music/phone if possible. thanks in advance! :)

LeMonarque 3 Builds 4 points 43 months ago

Audio-Technica ATH-M50 for neutral sound (I have these, they're awesome). Phiaton MS400 for more bass. Audio-Technica ATH-M35 for good value.

ModMic for headphone-mounted microphone or a Blue Snowball for desktop mic.

Doesn't get any better than those! (for a reasonable budget)

superninjaleprechaun 2 points 43 months ago

Sennheiser definitely, Audio Technica, AKG, Klipsch, and Sennheiser.

Sennheiser do some great headphones like the momentum's, HD series, as well as some great quality headsets

Wyn 2 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

Koss is a respectable brand as-well.

vans 1 point 43 months ago

thanks for the reply :) I will definitely take a look into it!!

superninjaleprechaun 1 point 43 months ago

And if your interested in a mic for gaming chat, these are great priced but great quality usb mics, bluemic.com

Camph 2 points 43 months ago

There's hundreds of headphones across a very big range of brands so narrowing down one is all up to what you want. Check the resources in /r/headphones or just go to head-fi.com for a while and look for headphones in your budget.

vans 1 point 43 months ago

hey thanks for your suggestions, I'm going to check both of those out :) do you mind if I ask what you are personally using?

Austn 1 Build 3 points 43 months ago

They're overpriced.

1n_Soviet_Russia 4 points 42 months ago

ATH M50s FTW!

th3m4dh4tt3r 1 Build 3 points 43 months ago

Nice!! Great work Ryan :D

AH__Banana 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Great addition. :)

RyneSmith 7 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

Very nice, thanks for keeping this site awesome philip! :)

LeetLawrence 2 points 43 months ago

Alright! This is really gonna help me find one. Thanks guys!

tjhans 2 points 43 months ago

Awesome, but it really needs to be able to filter by connection type (usb, bluetooth, 3.5mm (split or combined)).

Notarget 2 points 43 months ago

Can you add Plantronics to the list? The GameCom 780 are quite decent and popular in the lower budget end.

rpgman1 2 points 43 months ago

After checking specific headphones for gaming, seems most of them are here. Interesting that there aren't any more high-end headphones like Audeze, Fostex, Grado, HiFiMan, and the electrostatic Stax headphones.

xCloudyHorizon 1 point 43 months ago

Now to add my PC 323D's. :P

NeoKorean 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

yea finally i was waiting for this option to come i knew you guys would put it in

DeusAres 1 point 43 months ago

Finally! Thanks philip!

Thither 1 point 43 months ago

Great addition. Is an option to specify which kind of drivers the headphones have coming?

manirelli staff 7 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

Probably not. Most sites have terrible information as it is unfortunately. I'm curious why driver size matters to you?

Thither 1 point 43 months ago

Not just driver size, but also driver type. So I could sort by balanced armature drivers for example.

LeMonarque 3 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

Woohoo! That is an awesome addition - thanks for all the hard work! The only thing is the list would be awesomer with VModas and Phiatons

CygnusRising 1 point 43 months ago

Seconded. I use CrossFade LPs.

joonpear 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Nice!

Bainato 1 point 43 months ago

Lets get some JVC headphones up there!

Papajenkinz 1 point 43 months ago

Cool

TyPitt 1 point 43 months ago

Great Update! :)

HolySymbol 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Awesome! :D

drehmini 1 point 43 months ago

What are the chances of adding the impedance stat for headphones as well? I think it would make a great addition.

xRehab 1 point 43 months ago

just throwing it out there, add support for b&h photo video. they have a ton of headphones and audio gear, stuff that newegg and the likes never stock (aka the good stuff). I know its a lot of work incorporating an entire new site to the mix but if youre doing audio at least try and also support the high end stuff too

ipwnedx 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Great to see them add this!

DrEdReviews 1 point 42 months ago

Hi. Sorry, i know here is not the place to post this but, im new in the site so i dont know how to move around in the forums and like,

i want to build a "fast" not-high-end pc , i think the "gaming pc" or "Editing Pc" terms are overvalued

Please feel free to say anything about the parts posted below, if they work well or need some modification or change them for cheaper ones

I need a pc that last 10 years minimun http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1IER9

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H ATX LGA1155

Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory VideoCard: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 3GB

Wireless: Asus PCE-N15 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter Case: Cooler Master Haf X PSU: SeaSonic 650W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

Thanks :)

BaconGuardian 1 point 42 months ago

If possible could you add TekNmotion's headsets?

manirelli staff 7 Builds 1 point 42 months ago

Have a link where they are sold? Preferably not the manufacturer website.

BaconGuardian 1 point 40 months ago

Oh wow, I completely forgot to check back on my comment after I posted it. In answer to the question you asked a a long time ago (D:) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826289003 and http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Stereo-Gaming-Headset-TM-YB100A/dp/B001FY7LBQ are two that I know of.

1n_Soviet_Russia 1 point 42 months ago

lets get some water cooled cans up in this b****

fmillmd 1 point 42 months ago

To the site authors, bosses and worker bees! This is a great idea, the parts picker. Millions of us clunkers trying to build PCs alone at home in the boonies with "nary" any help close by (I live in the South...) thank you as they and Elvis say in the South 'from the bottom of my heart.' (I am a physician and have never understood where the cardiac bottom is...). Thanks again, this is an inspired idea and service. F Miller MD

Brianboy123 1 point 42 months ago

We need this for fans

Hakumisoso 2 Builds 1 point 41 months ago

Fans are added?

Hakumisoso 2 Builds 1 point 41 months ago

I just noticed beats are not added!

LOL! They don't deserve it!

Cryllic 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

Maybe get in contact with HeadFi or other reputable website for headphones and audio see if they are willing to work with you or lend you any data.

VXAce 1 point 40 months ago

I agree.

VXAce 1 point 40 months ago

Amps and DACs...?

JacobGunther12 1 point 11 months ago

The image is broken.

MarkBorger 1 point 8 months ago

Hi Philip! I've problem with installation Plantronics gaming headsets with my PS3. Would you please help me?Thanks in advance...

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

What is the issue?

[comment deleted by staff]
alanbuddy5 -1 points 43 months ago

Nice, HD 800's for the icon seem a bit odd though, not really gameing headsets or really ment for pc's at all. They are studio headphones...

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 3 points 43 months ago

We are including those in the listings too. Many people use studio style headphones for gaming and other applications - usually paired with a separate microphone.
